Page 14, bottom, right column, Winning and losing the game, bullet point 1: if morale track reaches 0,… Do not check to see if the main objective has been completed

Q: Does this mean that in such a case the main objective is always considered failed, no matter if
completed at the moment (this could happen)?

Dtto, bullet point 2: second sentence „Do not check to see if the main objective…“

Q: Does this sentence make any sense? The step Move Round Tracker immediately succeeds the step Check Main Objective, so it can never possibly happen anyway.

Correct. If morale reaches zero, then you never get to the "check main objective" step of the Colony Phase, so the main objective definitely fails.

Essentially it is there for when you're in the colony phase, you're overrun by zombies during the add zombies step and lose the rest of your morale. You would have won that turn, but you no longer check to see if the main objective is completed.

But "Check Main Objective" is after "Add Zombies". So, if morale goes to 0 during "Add Zombies", the game would end immediately and you wouldn't move on to "Check Main Objective".

I believe that Karel's point is that the parts that I've bolded below did not need to be added to the rules:

The game can end in a variety of ways:

• If the morale track reaches 0 the game ends immediately. Do not check to see if the main objective has been completed.

• If the round track reaches 0 the game ends immediately. Do not check to see if the main objective has been completed.

• The main objective is completed

In the Czech edition, I will probably make clear that in case morale track reaches 0, the game ends immediately and the main objective is considered failed, no matter what. The bolded text in the second bullet point (not to check main objective if the round track reaches zero) is redundant and will not be in the Czech edition (it can only lead to unnecessary confusion). This was the intention, as also kindly confirmed by Plaidhat.
