Hi all!

I´m Pablo from Mystical Games. This is our new board game, called Alchemical Crystal Quest.

It´s a coop miniatures dungeon crawler, with modular tiles, where we take the control of an alchemist wizard, in different missions, during the campaign.

I´ll keep you informed!!

The images are unbelievably great. Will the game look that way, or is this a promotional model to take to game fairs?

Hi Jonathan!

Thanks for your interesting!

The game will be available in different versions. The core game will be made in standard cardboard (you can see some tile images on game entry pictures), and will be available with scenery elements. This scenery will be available on Kickstarter as a reward (limited quantities), with different finishes, unpainted, by parts, or totally finished.

Tomorrow I´ll post the cardboard prototype too

If you have more questions, please, let me know.

Thanks!!

Can you tell us any more about ...

(1) Game play mechanics?
(2) When this will hit Kickstarter?
(3) More images of the base / basic game?

Excited!

Hi Justin!

Here you can see two cardboard prototypes images:

All base components (only 1 tile pictured, there are 16 different tiles) made in cardboard.

Kickstarter campaign will be available in May.

We are working on rules translation. You can read the full rules very soon.
But I can explain here the basic mechanics.

ACQ is a coop dungeon crawler for 1 to 4 players. Each player take the control of an alchemist student wizard.
Wizards have 3 actions:
1 Normal action (like attack with a weapon)
1 Movement action (steps are specified on character sheets)
1 Crystal action (using crystals for make spells, buy weapons and power up weapons).

Each enemy have 1 movement (specified on enemy card) and one attack.
At the beginning of each turn, we will raise up a threat card. The obtained wizard is the enemies´ target during the current turn, and all of them will move to this wizard and attacks.

Enemy event card will raise up when all enemies are defeated, generating new ones. 3 power and magic levels on spell book, determinate the level for the enemies too.

Wizards can power up its weapons and spells using crystals.

Pets can help the wizards to power up the attacks and defensive actions.

The wizards can reduce its size to hide from enemies or to reach other inaccessible areas.

When the wizards are small, they can be mounted on its pets to get different abilities.

All the tiles have special squares, like water, snot, grids... which can interact in different ways, for example, reload the water gun or wet our towel to do more harm.

The missions will be longer as you go through the campaign.

I´ll let you know when rules are fully translated (by a native english speaker, not by me!)

Many thanks friends!!

For those who care more about the game than the minis, is there any chance you could have a version with cardboard standees at a lower price point?

Thanks for considering it.

We thought at first, but when we built a cardboard prototype, and after, play with minis, we discard the cardboard version. We think that minis create a good ambience and look for the game, and the price for the game will give you a satisfying surprise

Many thanks for your interesting!

The game was designed to play with 4 players, we have no plan to make an expansion for more players (at the moment)laugh
