Hallo everyone,

TableTop marked the survivors by using coloured bases, which is no option to me, as I don't want to put the survivors in and out of the bases all the time.

I saw one player colouring the background of all zombies red. Again, no option for me. Too lazy.

I was thinking about attaching coloured rubber bands or dog tag silencers (too big) to the bases, but oh well.

How do you increase the overview on the table ?

Rubber bands. (Actually, the small "rainbow loom" bands that come in many colors and were all the rage with the kids last year).

I was also thinking about painting just the bases of the zombies red with a marker (or window color if I can find our old kit in the basement) or just buying some red bases for those.

I tried to find out exactly where Tabletop got those bases, but nobody got back to me. But yeah I do think it could be a bad idea to constantly be putting the pawns in and out of bases.
I might go with the rubber band solution myself; visually identifying who owns which survivor is kind of important, especially in the colony.

Would the little foam pads that go over earphones work? The bases look about the right size, but would maybe need a small coin to weight them down. My only concern about the rubber bands is if they start to mark the edges of the standees

1) Buy five copies of the game.
2) Color/paint the white part of each standee with five distinct colors so that each player gets their own colored set of standees.
3) ?
4) Profit!

Do something fun with 150 zombie standees!

EXTREMELY GENTLE

Like fluffy bunny slippers.

Edit: I bought lots of these when the game was first released (40 red for Z's) and 6x10 of other colors) = 100 Total

They are awesome. Can't recommend enough.

Plaid Hat Games approves of this strategy.

Do these fit well on the board in the circles?

Noticed any wear and tear on your standees yet?

Do you happen to have a picture to see how high up they come on the standees?

I think you've sold me on these; looks like just the right size, and easy to eyeball who owns who.
Although the shipping cost from rolco is a little high compared to the cost of the actual stuff.. I was thinking about ordering 50 of them, because that's more than enough for DoW if you leave the zombies in the original stands, but might as well get 100 with the shipping charge.. (Maybe I'll see if I can pick something like this up at a craft store or game store first).

I love mine, and while the shipping was a bit more than I'd liked, they were here quickly and when I discovered I was short a color, they sent more ASAP.

So I ended up ordering 100 of those bases: 34 clear and 6 each of all 11 colors for variety.
I don't know if I'll bother un-basing the zombies, but because of that shipping cost it didn't make sense to order only 50, and I thought it would make more sense to reserve clear bases for "uncontrolled" characters (zombies, Bev from her Crossroads Card, etc).

And if anyone controls more than 6 survivors, they're probably the Betrayer and deserve to use 2 colors

Thanks again, Sydcomeback.

Dude, always happy to hear that something I passed along helped someone out! I actually tweeted this suggestion to Wil Wheaton a while back before they played on TableTop. They didn't use these specifically, but perhaps my suggestion was an influencing factor?
