How do you see the "source" code/raw text of a geeklist?

I want to pull some info from one of the trade GeekLists and I forgot how to do it.

I recommend using the API matthew gray put together

http://boardgamegeek.com/xmlapi/geeklist/[LISTID]

where [LISTID] is the number you see in the URL. For example:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/16242

The list id is 16242.

Then, you can import this into Excel very simply by using the Data menu. Click on XML and then Import and it will walk you through the process.

One more thing.... the API only returns 150 items at a time. If you need more, then you'll have to do multiple loads. The syntax is

http://boardgamegeek.com/xmlapi/geeklist/[LISTID]?start=itemno

The first query (without a start) will bring back items 1-150. Then

http://boardgamegeek.com/xmlapi/geeklist/[LISTID]?start=151 will bring back the next 150.

Out of curiosity... are you doing this for a math trade? I just finished running one and might have some shortcuts for you.

Thanks! And it is for the current math trade. I normally keep up with the entries while they are being added, but I slacked off this time and want to add the user names to my spreadsheet.
