There's are so many, "help me find a game my Girlfriend will like.." threads... how about we reverse it..

Name a game that you girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/partner likes, but you don't like...

My wife likes Caverna.. I really don't care for it.. I'll play it with her and our gaming group, but would prefer to play a different game...

The awful, horrendous piece of cardboard sh.. Lord of the Rings

She loves it, I don't even bother faking it that I like it. I'd rather play Monopoly.

Only one springs to mind - Zombies!

I'll play it certainly, in fact it's one of the games we've played a few times at recent meetups, but it's certainly not high on my list

Genuinely though I can't complain. Board gaming is one of the hobbies my girlfriend has indulged me in a lot more than others. She's had a go at almost everything we've picked up, which certainly helps me find out what sorts of games she prefers! (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Chinatown next)

I liked Qwirkle, so I bought a copy.

I found out my MIL likes games, so I showed her Qwirkle, among others. I figured I would have someone to game with.

She loved Qwirkle, requested a copy for Christmas, I naively obliged.

When we play a game, she brings out Qwirkle every time.

I don't like Qwirkle so much any more.

Qwirkle.

SET

One of my regular group introduced it to her and she was the first person who responded positively to it so far so he lent her it...

She really likes it, while I would rather play almost anything else.

Still got it as a stocking filler for her Christmas.

Cards against Humanity.

It was funny the first 2 times I played it. Then it just became painful every other time I was forced to play it.

Unfortunately, lots of people seem to love this game.

Phase 10 I hate this game with every fiber of my being. It's like someone said, 'Hey Uno doesn't take nearly long enough. How can we take that concept and drag it out for hours?'

I find it just super mediocre, she finds it really fun. Luckily, it only gets played when large groups are over so I can just sit it out.

Ticket to Ride Europe. Bleh.

I liked Nordic Countries much better, at least, with a tighter board and for two players.

I don't think there are many (or any) games that my wife likes but I don't. The problem I face is that my wife is content to play the same games over and over (Saint Petersburg, London (first edition), Lost Cities, and Ticket to Ride to name a few), but I would prefer to play a wider variety of games.

Lords of Waterdeep - I'm 6/10 on the game but she would play it every time if she could.
Ingenious - I'm even lower on this but thankfully she rarely wants to play it with the other games we have.

Go to Geeklist dropdown at the top of the page. Last option says "create new".

My gf and I play games all the time. So let's see:

She has fond childhood memories of Skip-Bo that likely prevent her from being entirely objective about it. I want to burn it.

Most everything else we've played we either both enjoy, both dislike, or the difference in our opinions is slight enough that it's not worth listing.

Lol. We just purchased this to play as a 2-player co-op. Here's hoping my reaction isn't the same as yours!

I'm the same with Nordic Countries, but I think my gf prefers the original TtR. We do enjoy both though, to some extent. Never played Europe, but it's unlikely we'll purchase it with two versions already in our collection.
