I recently saw this on EBay-

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=4&cam...

So where can I get terrain like this and, hopefully, at a cheaper cost?

So you want custom hand made & painted Terrain, 60 hexes for less than $60? Wow, you do have high expectations.

The short answer is....nowhere. This is a steal.
The long answer is, make it yourself. It really is not that hard, a project like this really just chews up time more than anything. The material and techniques are cheap and easy. Give it a try.

I would bet after you make your own you will see the price the ebayer is asking is not that out of line.

Peace

Its actually pretty fun, or it was for me when I played Warhammer. Some foam and some exacto knives, glue, paint, gives you some good terrain. Some model trees and bushes and all sorts of stuff makes it as detailed as you want.

The terrain from Heroscape will work, except for the full-hex trees. Small model RR trees or bits of clump foliage (Woodland Scenics, from model RR shops) will work for woods, smaller bits for swamps.

The small-to-medium tanks will fit with only a slight overhang; the big Tiger II overlaps but you can easily tell what space it's in, facing, etc.

Barry . . . this thread goes back a ways but question for you. Were you referencing the 12mm or 15mm units?

Thanks,
