I love rugby, especially watching a wonderful match from the Millennium Stadium. Very proud of Wales. I's more than a sport, i's a way of life !

Doesn't Wales have a fullback named "Dibs"? I'm pretty sure they do.

I prefer to play the much less contact sport of Dibs but rugby is fun to watch.

Rugby Union is a wonderful sport and great fun. Rugby League is abominable.

Rugby (the "union" is unnecessary) at its best is exhilarating and a fascinating sport to watch. Rugby at its worst (with a self-important ref, wet and windy conditions and 2 defensive teams) is awful to watch. Rugby league has a wonderful consistency about it; you're pretty much always going to get what's on the box. I watch and enjoy both.

Irrelevant anyway, I much prefer Aussie Rules and soccer to either.

Welcome to Australia, where we argue over which of 4 major codes of football is the best. PEOPLE get on the INTERNET and DISAGREE with each other. Seriously.

Des Lee, I have an Australian friend who is an ex rugby international, who once explained to me all about football codes down under. Wow. Complicated stuff. What is DIBS by the way, people ?

A spiritual incantation of sorts that ripped away your very soul and placed it in the hands of another to do with as seen fit.

I like watching the Haka performed by that Rugby team in black uniform.

That would be the All Blacks - the New Zealand team.

Although a few of the other Polynesian nations also do a similar challenge dance before their matches. Samoa does the siva tau, Tonga has the sipi tau, Fiji the cibi.

They explained everything in detail and at great length. After they finished I sat, despondent, contemplating a bleak and empty future. "I’m glad you’re depressed" said one. "It means you’ve understood the situation.”

I too like Union, played it as a kid (memorably, at one stage in high school going two years with only one win).

Lost interest in league at about the time of 'Super League' in Australia.

I'd back this thread to be the second 'least American thread ever' after this one:

ICC Cricket World Cup
