It might be nice to see how many visits are made to your Profile Page.

I seem to remember that existing in the past for a little while, but then disappearing after a bit. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but I'm pretty sure it did exist at one point.

We used to have it but it became something of a popularity contest...

Perhaps it would be visible only to the owner of the Profile, then?

No big deal, I guess. Just a thought.

To all my geekfriends, I know I haven't been around much lately, but BGG is still my homepage and everyone is still in my heart everyday. Just so damn busy!

The profile page hit counter was at it's peak while a certain female BGGer was around a lot. I think it was around that time. I seem to remember it as a popularity race as well, and I think some users were freaked out by just knowing how many people were checking them out.

It was not a good thing as I recall. There were literally THOUSANDS of hits on certain female BGG members profile pages giving the whole thing a weird, creepy feeling. I don't think having only the owners see the numbers would help as it was the women who owned the pages that were mostly freaked out (and rightly so).
