Another new environment for Sentinels, Omnitron IV is the fourth attempt by Omnitron to conquer the heroes, universe, and basically all existence. He's a giant robotics factory that just hates everyone. The deck consists of 15 cards and costs $3. Is it worth it?

Here's a picture of the card backs thanks to sanchezja

This deck is a mixed bag, consisting of 7 other cards and 8 targets. What do you have in the deck?

The other cards are a really mean mixed bag that make drones immune to melee damage, play the top card of the environment deck at the end of the turn, trigger all events that happen at the start of the environment turn at the end also, pulls environment drones from the environment trash, and can also pull equipment/drones from all character decks.

The targets are, shocking, all drones and devices (or both). Some deal damage to everything at the end of the environment turn as well as cards that come into play, some destroy equipments and components, some deal damage based on the number of drones in play, and the major threat in the deck comes into play mostly damaged (25/30 HP gone) but heals every turn and hits everything without fail. It's a beast. These targets hit hard, fast, and often, and are a big pain to deal with.

Thoughts:

Omnitron IV is a really mean environment. He backs a huge punch and can easily swing the game against you by destroying your precious equipment and smacking you around pretty handily. He does deal damage to all targets equally, but the simple fact that there are 3 heroes and 1 villain means he beats up the heroes more. He makes any fight more difficult, and you almost have to dedicate someone to taking out the environment all by themselves, meaning you have 1 less hero to deal with what the villain is dishing out. He can easily overwhelm you if left unattended. If you have no environment card destruction (Say, through Omnitron X or Wraith) you can run into serious trouble. He's a blast to fight in, though, because you really feel like you're in a crazy robotics chamber that is trying to kill you. His parts keep coming back and he never lets up. If you want some real fun, try fighting Omnitron or Cosmic Omnitron in Omnitron IV. Bring your best team though!!!! He's a real beast!

Verdict:

If you love Sentinels, buy this. If you think Sentinels is too easy, buy this. It's a fun, hard environment that ramps up the challenge in the game, adds some good theme, and is a lot of fun to play in.
