I'm guessing it's because of people looking at it because of the Amazon half off sale.

So much for getting anything reasonable for it in the math trade. [sigh]

I'm perfectly happy to keep and play my copy. It's not very Feld-like, but it's a great combination of area control, auction, and set collection. Definitely on my short list when I've gotten a non-gamer to try a lighter game or two and they're interested in The Next Step.

Concordia does that for me nicely

Maybe, but it's not really a short list if it's just one game. The fact that Concordia is a possible gateway is compatible with Rialto being on the list, too.

So you came into the Rialto forums just to tell us how bad the game is? Thanks, guy!

I may be the only one in my group that likes Rialto, but for the length of the game and depth of the decisions, I enjoy it a lot.

Every so often, there is session where I feel like the game played me by the card decisions I am left with in the draft, but it a good game.

For anyone who is interested, I ended up getting Legendary Marvel Deckbuilding Game: Villains in the math trade for my copy of Rialto. Considering that on-line retailers are selling Rialto for about $33.00 and Amazon had it on sale for even less at the time of the trade, I think that I did pretty well!

Glad it worked out for you. I would never take that trade as I have NEVER found a deckbuilding game that I have liked.

Yeah I hate dbing games as well. I couldn't wait to get rid of my copy of Legendary. Just sold Mage Knight so now I am free of it I do the hand management mechanic of Concordia though. much much better!

I prefer Concordia to Rialto as well. But I like both for what they are.

Concordia plays smoothly and the board is VERY important. In Rialto, the board really just marks area control.
