I used advanced search to find a solitaire game. I entered 1 and 1 for the number of players, thinking that would limit the search to 1 player games. It didn't happen that way, in fact I got several 2 player only games. Is there a glitch in the process or did I do something wrong?

Thanks,
Philgamer

I had the same problem. I ended up going to Geeklists instead.

Geeklists don't let me search for things across the whole data base. It seems to me that if I enter the number of players being from 1 to 1, that I should only get games where that is true.

I agree completely. Between 1 and 1 should only be 1! Not 2 or 5.

If you use google advanced search, keyword 'solitaire' and limit to www.boardgamegeek.com/game/, you get 400 results. Maybe that helps.

Thanks for the information Lajos! I'll probably use your solution for more than just this problem, but I really think that BGG's advanced search should be able to handle this.

While I certainly agree that the advanced search thing doesn't provide much useful information when looking for solo games and games that can legitimately by played solo, I have had some luck searching Geeklists for solo information.

Some solo Geeklists

Solo variant experimentation

Search Geeklists for "solo", "solitaire", "alone", "myself", and other tricky terms.
