I am looking for a good strategy/historical/war game store in the Washington DC area (DC/MD/VA). Any recommendations would be appreciated. Some of the stores I have gone to focus on Magic The Gathering and a few other popular games. Thanks.

I've heard they have a great selection.

When I lived in NoVA, I frequented Game Parlor.

Great store!

Right down the street from them is a really really nice place- Victory Comics. I recommend viewing their event schedule and going whenever there isn't an MTG event because that place can get rowdy lol

The two stores already mentioned are the only ones I know of that make a real effort to stock a good selection of wargames: The Compleat Strategist in Falls Church is indeed the first place to check out, and then right down the street is Victory Comics and Games--a smaller selection but you never know what they might have. I swing by both regularly.

Agree about those two stores. I find the staff at Victory Comics to be a little more friendly. I used to play MTG there a few years ago.

Also, while I don't think they have any/many wargames, Labyrith Games in DC has a lot of strategy games and other stuff.

I'd second, Labyrith Games is probably one of the best in this area, Huzzah hobbies is a good one if you're out near Dulles Airport, otherwise. If your looking for more of a social/having beer/drinks the Board Room is a decent spot but their more focused on the social side of things and don't have the best game selection(its a bar)

Labyrinth has lots of Euros but very few wargames. Last week, they had four GMT titles and a Quartermaster General add-on and perhaps another wargame.
