I got to work early so that I could get to downtown and
help Aldie and his minions setup. We decorated, separated, stuffed,
and finally setup the game library. I got to meet again the
Denver contingent, Jeff, Sterling, locals like Jared, Randy
(is Randy local?), etc.

The game library setup was good, except every 10 minute someone on
the other side of the room kept screaming, "OMG! We need more tables!"

The rumors from Essen are that Derk had a minor catastrophe,
when he couldn't stand to be parted from the games he bought, go
he piled them around him in the bed, then later rolled
over, destroying all the games, except for two copies of
Hameln that he was using for a pillow.

By the time the library was ready I was too tired to stop at the
early gaming where we saw Tim Kelly with yet another race game,
and Rick Thornquist with some new interesting Rio Grande game.

The madness starts at noon tomorrow. Except for Tim Kelly
who claims to be arriving at 6AM to get a good place in line,
and to get the autograph of, as Tim puts it, "That dreamy
Scott Nickolson". Obviously I'm wrong and the madness is
starting a lot sooner than noon.

I don't understand any of this...

First of all...day -1? Is tomorrow day zero? Zero is not a counting number.

Second, "setup" is a noun; "set up" is a verb phrase.

Third, who screams "OMG!" That doesn't make any sense. If true, that person should get up from the computer more often.

Fourth, the comment about Derk's catastrophe is a non sequitur.

Fifth, all of this nonsense is just the fruits of my boredom. Enjoy the conference.

It's already been great to see some old friends like John and Jared.

One minor correction: the other half of the "Denver Contingent: Wed. Arrivals" is Sterling, not Stewart.

Everythings all set up and ready to go. I personally helped with the Game Library setup (among other things), and I gotta tell ya - it's frickin' amazing. Anything you want to play is there - including Shocking Roulette - we had to use regular tables though to set the games on - not enough wicker baskets to go around for all 1000+ games...

Oh, and for those curious - I'm in the Adam's Mark hotel, in my room, and unless I'm somehow being charged without my knowledge, I've got free high-speed wifi - simply discovered the network and connected up. Don't know about the public areas yet...

I see it as a long, drawn out humm, with a glottal cry at the end.

"Ommmmmm-guh!"

/That's not a non sequitur. Now THIS is a non sequitur.
