We had a good practice on the Germany map so we were ready to play the Spain map from the Steambrothers. We had our first game on this map in october and it was very exciting. Team play is the main new change on this map as long with the insurrection action. Last game was with 4 players and this time we decided to give it a real test with 6 players.

Teams for this game were: Nathalie and Anas, Pierre and Adrien, Mario and Martin. With this last team we were sure that we had a good chance of having fun since Mario and Martin like each other so much. This uneasy alliance gave good results very soon even if they seemed to have a hard time finding deals. Some players from the other teams tought they might be able to split this alliance and have Mario in their team Pierre and Adrien started in the center and near France, Martin and Mario in the southwest region and Nathalie and Anas were split in the west and east region. Things went very well for Martin and he had 5 income at the end of round 1 even if Mario forgot who was his partner ! On round every players took 3 shares except Martin and Mario started the bets at 6 so the other teams go down and allow Martin to take second place for nothing. This was a clever move and they used the same strategy next turn when Martin choose loco and Mario insurrection action, this was a deadly combo for the other teams, they were in control of the game and they had fun. On turn 4 , Mario and Martin shipped good at income 5. Adrien tried to slow the Evil Team by pushing both of them of income 21 but it wasn't enough. At one time thing were so bad that 4 players were working on a way to choose the right place to take the insurrection action on the network of Martin and Mario. As the winner of the game is the winner of the best team, there was some action when Mario and Martin wouldn't collaborate as much as they did in the first turns as they were very close and they would now fight for first place. We knew this alliance couldn't not stand for long.

Finally Martin with his low share strategy won the game by a slight margin. At least Mario was in the winning team. The game was very fun as we are not used of having open talk around the table. Mechanic is very different and it should add a great replayabiltiy for AoS. We were also happy to see it could be played with 6 players with still ample space to build.

Final scoring:
Team 1: Martin/Mario

Final scoring:
Martin: 76
Mario: 68
Adrien: 54
Pierre: 24
Anas: 18
Nathalie: 0

Re: Age of Steam Spain session report
Bad evening of gaming happens to everyone. She's usually really tough to play against. Since her last game on the Spain map she played the Switzerland expansion from Winsome games and Martin really had a tough time against her as you can read in my session report.
