I've been documenting the design process of my game, Dexikon, and the last entry covers the process of working with an artist to realise my vision. Of course, as a non-artist, I didn't really know what my vision looked like...

I'm very pleased with the end result, but I suspect that some better thinking on my part could have helpful - we lost a bit of time to a visual style for card fronts that ultimately didn't gel with the card backs, largely because I was swayed by how good it looked instead of being critical. Anyway, hopefully my experiences will help other people be a little more efficient in the future.

Dexikon Designer Diary #3 - Working with an artist

(And yes, there's a degree to which I just want to show off the art, because I think it's cool!)
