this deck hasn't been thoroughly tested yet because I've been relatively busy with Netrunner store champs lately (and people in my LotR group have been busy as well with Game of Thrones store champs), but

requested that I post this deck here.
that said, I've played through (and completed) every scenario of the Heirs of Numenor and Against the Shadow cycle (except for Morgul Vale, which I haven't yet attempted)

to preface this deck, I'm a huge fan of the Rohan theme. one card I absolutely fell in love with the first time I saw it was Charge of the Rohirrim and really wanted to make a deck around it.
it originally started with Dunhere, Spears of the Mark, Forth Eorlingas! and Hama for recycling all of the events as well, but it was just way too much going on and it never really worked. in multiplayer, not many enemies were sitting in the staging area for very long, and in solo play, it was almost impossible to quest effectively. I'll try it again at some point after we get some more Rohan cards.

Anyway, without further ado, here's this deck

Total Cards: (50)

Hero: (3)
1x Eowyn (Core Set)
1x Erkenbrand (The Antlered Crown)
1x Éomer (The Voice of Isengard)

Ally: (19)
3x Eomund (Conflict at the Carrock)
2x Horseback Archer (Core Set)
3x Snowbourn Scout (Core Set)
3x Warden of Helm’s Deep (The Antlered Crown)
3x Westfold Horse-breeder (The Voice of Isengard)
2x Westfold Outrider (The Voice of Isengard)
3x Errand-rider (Heirs of Numenor)

Attachment: (15)
1x Firefoot (The Dunland Trap)
3x Rohan Warhorse (The Voice of Isengard)
3x Steed of the Mark (The Morgul Vale)
2x Horn of Gondor (Core Set)
2x Steward of Gondor (Core Set)
2x The Day’s Rising (The Antlered Crown)
2x Born Aloft (Conflict at the Carrock)

Event: (16)
2x Astonishing Speed (Return to Mirkwood)
3x Charge of the Rohirrim (Celebrimbor's Secret)
3x Mustering the Rohirrim (The Hunt for Gollum)
1x Ride Them Down (The Antlered Crown)
3x Valiant Sacrifice (Core Set)
2x Stand and Fight (Core Set)
2x Sneak Attack (Core Set)

a quick note: i just typed up this huge explanation for the deck and rationale for cards and the page refreshed and i lost it D:

if i forget something, i'm sorry about that <_<;;

anyway, trying this again...

this deck has two main combos: bouncing Eomund for action advantage on turns with events like Charge of the Rohirrim and Astonishing Speed and getting mounts on your heroes so you can Charge forth and completely turn the tide of battle

for Eomund, we have several ways to keep him bouncing out of play: Sneak Attack, Born Aloft, and Stand and Fight.

Westfold Horse-breeder is used to bring out your mounts more quickly, and Born Aloft can be pretty clutch with Westfold Horse-breeder to tutor out more than one mount in the planning phase.

- Firefoot is clearly for Eomer (and a big reason why i chose Eomer over Hama, but Hama works just as well as the Tactics Rohirrim in this deck)
- Rohan Warhorse is mainly for Eomer and Erkenbrand but can also be used for Eowyn
- Steed of the Mark is mainly for Eowyn, but they can be used on any of them later on in the game if you have lots of extra resources. I generally only use Steed of the Mark's ability on Eowyn if I also have Charge of the Rohirrim and on Erkenbrand/Eomer with Astonishing Speed

most of the other ally choices are pretty straightforward: a mixture of questing, utility, attacking, and defence. I would love to fit in West Road Traveller and/or Escort from Edoras, but the deck overall needs many Spirit resources with Eomund recycling.
Guthlaf could easily fit in, and I'm honestly not sure why I didn't try harder to put him in the deck.
I think an immediate change of -1 Warden of Helm's Deep and +Guthlaf might be pretty solid. Elfhelm was a card I really wanted to fit in, but his cost was just way too high.

some of the cards may seem a bit unorthodox, such as Horn of Gondor and Valiant Sacrifice with so few disposable allies like Riddermark's Finest and Westfold Horse-breaker, but they can still put in some work with chump blockers like Snowbourn Scout and all the Eomund bouncing

This deck could use a bit more card draw, and I'd really like to complement Valiant Sacrifice and Mustering of the Rohirrim with Ancient Mathom (and think in solo play, the latter might be a solid replacement for the former).
I think I ended up ditching the Mathoms because in four player games, we can't be sure who would benefit, and I had so much of a reliance on Spirit resources anyway.

One final note on card draw: I really tried to make Foe-hammer work, but it just required too many cards, even though Spear of the Mark synergises pretty well with the trait. If it could work with Mount attachments, I'd be golden.

This deck generates a lot of resources with Horn of Gondor, Steward of Gondor, The Day's Rising, and Errand-Rider.
Errand-Rider is great for solo play for resource smoothing and awesome for multiplayer by being able to fling resources to your fellow players.
most of your resources will want to go onto Eowyn, then Eomer, and finally Erkenbrand.

The big events for this deck are Astonishing Speed (even Snowbourn Scout can get in on the fun!) and Charge of the Rohirrim.
I dropped one Astonishing Speed for Ride Them Down but haven't had cause to use it yet in a game (I'm still hopeful though!)

Charge only goes off once per game (if at all), but with Eomund able to leave play, it can really turn the tide of a game that seems out of your control.
without Eomund, it's a really solid card that's useful for taking care of that one big threat that needs to die as quickly as possible.

some misc. notes:
I toyed around with the idea of a mono-leadership Gondor deck with Mutual Accord to complement this deck, but didn't get much time to test it.

the heroes can be fairly interchangeable, Erkendbrand and The Day's Rising for Theodred and Heir of Mardil, Eomer for Hama, Eowyn for Dunhere (in multiplayer)

it can have a little trouble questing in non-battle/siege quests on its own.

I think replacing the Eomund bouncing idea for more overall consistency is a solid idea. sometimes Eomund + Charge of the Rohirrim/Astonishing Speed is overkill anyway, but sometimes it feels kind of necessary and quite amazing to pull off.

Light the Beacons would be amazing in this deck if I could afford it.

I really want some more general Leadership Rohan cards so the resources won't feel so lopsided.

also, sorry for the long post, i'm procrastinating some schoolwork

I really like the deck and the whole idea of Eomund-bouncing which you associates with events like Charge of the Rohirrim. I was not sure about those kind of event at first, but one thing I'm sure since I saw them spoiled is that those few cards (Forth Eorlingas! Charge of the Rohirrim, Ride Them Down and the coming Helm! Helm!) make you feel like you're
charging like Rohan does. So kudos to you for trying out the strategy.

I've been looking for a Rohan deck to complement my Gondor deck!

I will definitely try it out on the Heirs of Numenor / Against the Shadow Cycle, which is my favorite so far. Then I'll tell you what I would change / not change.

yeah, i look forward to some feedback. as i hinted in the overview, i'm thinking the Eomund bouncing and big event turns might be too much, so I could drop Eomund for West Road Travellers, for instance, then i won't feel like i'll need Spirit resources so much.

looking at Eomund himself, i could probably got 1 leadership (probably Theodred) along with Dunhere and Eowyn, then load up all of the Dunedain Warning, etc. to make Dunhere and Theodred killing machines and Eowyn a questing powerhouse. dropping tactics would mean no more Charge of the Rohirrim, but i think it's fine, especially with being able to make more room for things like Light the Beacons

with lots of threat reduction, Ride Them Down, and Dunhere, it could be pretty good. now i'm really wanting to give this one a go lol

This is a cool deck, I like it. I really like the ways you get Eomund in and out of play, for some reason I never considered Born Aloft for that.

The only thing I might change is Steed of the Mark. If you are using it on Eowyn it's a drain on her resources and she doesn't have good enough stats to much but quest anyway. I see what you are using it for though, Charge of the Rohirrim, and that's a noble cause so ::shrug::

If you cut it though you may be able to save up for a Light The Beacons...which could then lead into an awesome Charge of the Rohirrim!
Steed of the Mark is only really used on a turn with Charge of the Rohirrim, so it's 1 resource for 3 extra attacking power. outside of that, it's mostly just to ready her if you're fearful of taking damage and dying while questing or towards the end of the game, if/when you have a lot of extra resources.

I think Light the Beacons is an awesome card, and maybe I'll throw one in as-is just to see how it goes, but I ended up taking it out because Eomund bouncing takes up quite a lot of resources already. as I said above, I think I might try my hand at a Leadership/Spirit deck. I think that it would work really well with a mono-tactics deck with Eomer / Theodred / Hama

Charge of the Rohirrim / Astonishing Speed / and Light the Beacons could put in a lot of work i think.

I'm looking forward to seeing this deck in action again. I don't think it hit full stride last time (probably due to not finding the card draw) - and I think Legolas borrowed one of your warhorses

yeah, i think it didn't get a proper go. Lego was doing some work on that Rohan Warhorse though!

so I've had a bit of a think about some changes, and this is what I've come up with so far:

Hero: (3)
1x Eowyn (Core Set)
1x Erkenbrand (The Antlered Crown)
1x Éomer (The Voice of Isengard)

Ally: (19)
2x Horseback Archer (Core Set)
3x Warden of Helm’s Deep (The Antlered Crown)
3x Westfold Horse-breeder (The Voice of Isengard)
3x Westfold Outrider (The Voice of Isengard)
3x Errand-rider (Heirs of Numenor)
3x West Road Traveller (Return to Mirkwood)
1x Guthlaf (The Blood of Gondor)
1x Eomund (Conflict at the Carrock)

Attachment: (13)
2x Firefoot (The Dunland Trap)
3x Rohan Warhorse (The Voice of Isengard)
1x Steed of the Mark (The Morgul Vale)
2x Born Aloft (Conflict at the Carrock)
3x Ancient Mathom (A Journey to Rhosgobel)
2x Steward of Gondor (Core Set)

Event: (18)
2x Astonishing Speed (Return to Mirkwood)
3x Charge of the Rohirrim (Celebrimbor's Secret)
3x Mustering the Rohirrim (The Hunt for Gollum)
3x Valiant Sacrifice (Core Set)
3x Campfire Tales (The Hunt for Gollum)
2x A Test of Will (Core Set)
2x Hasty Stroke (Core Set)

Even found room for Hasty Stroke and A Test of Will since Caitlin won't be there.

And I think if it comes down to it, I can replace Steed of the Mark with something (maybe a third Born Aloft) and Eowyn with Dunhere.

EDIT: itemised changes:

Allies:
-2 Eomund
-3 Snowbourn Scout
+3 West Road Traveller
+1 Westfold Outrider
+1 Guthlaf

Attachments:
-2 Steed of the Mark
-2 Horn of Gondor
-2 The Day's Rising
+1 Firefoot
+3 Ancient Mathom

Events:
-2 Stand and Fight
-2 Sneak Attack
-1 Ride Them Down
+3 Campfire Tales
+2 Hasty Stroke
+2 A Test of Will

Posting here again instead of starting a new thread. This deck has seen quite a lot of changes and has since become a dual sphere deck with the inclusion of Theoden, Herugrim, and Snowmane

To the King
Total Cards: 50

Heroes (starting threat: 29)
Théoden (The Treason of Saruman)
Théodred (Core Set)
Éowyn (Core Set)
Allies (21)
3x Snowbourn Scout (Core Set)
3x Warden of Helm's Deep (The Antlered Crown)
1x Elfhelm (The Dead Marshes)
3x Escort from Edoras (A Journey to Rhosgobel)
1x Gamling (The Land of Shadow)
1x Háma (The Treason of Saruman)
3x West Road Traveller (Return to Mirkwood)
3x Westfold Horse-breeder (The Voice of Isengard)
3x Éomund (Conflict at the Carrock)
Attachments (11)
2x Celebrían's Stone (Core Set)
3x Herugrim (The Treason of Saruman)
3x Miruvor (Shadow and Flame)
3x Snowmane (The Land of Shadow)
Events (18)
2x Rallying Cry (The Wastes of Eriador)
2x Sneak Attack (Core Set)
3x Valiant Sacrifice (Core Set)
3x Astonishing Speed (Return to Mirkwood)
2x Helm! Helm! (The Treason of Saruman)
2x Mustering the Rohirrim (The Hunt for Gollum)
2x Ride to Ruin (The Hills of Emyn Muil)
2x Stand and Fight (Core Set)

Deck built with Rivendell Councilroom

this is a back to basics Rohan deck, built around creating an army of Rohan allies, questing like crazy with Astonishing Speed, and occasionally making sacrifices for the greater good (the greater good) to gain progress, discard enemies, draw some cards, or even ready every Rohan character in play, including your heroes

now, we have some more tools to help with discarded allies like Gamling and Rallying Cry, and some old friends: Valiant Sacrifice and Stand and Fight
Born Aloft is gone, but Sneak Attack is still a little cheaper anyway, and with the addition of Gamling, you can bounce Eomund whenever he is discarded, and we have more ways to force a discard and additionall gain an extra benefit

Another combo for this deck is built around getting Heurgrim, Snowmane, and Celebrian's Stone on Theoden, keeping in mind that, while they're all restricted, Snowmane loses the restricted keyword when attached to Theoden

this also means that you shouldn't feel tempted to try this combo on Eowyn. one, it'll be illegal. and two, while you can increase her willpower by discarding dead cards, it only lasts until the end of the phase and can only be activated until the end of the round. so if you increased her questing earlier on, you can't increase her attack later on in the same round

but anyway, that shouldn't matter. quest for 9 every turn Theoden, Theodred, and Eowyn. quest successfully, and ready Theoden with Snowmane. then, you can attack later on in the same round for 7 with Theoden
who even needs tactics anymore?
with Miruvor, it becomes even better, siphoning more of those Leadership resources for more Spirit, and gaining +1 questing and attack, since it lasts for the whole round

this deck can easily be modified to work with an accompanying Rohan deck that includes Charge of the Rohirrim, Forth! Eorlingas!, and Horn of Gondor and either more Spirit or Leadership, depending on the third hero (Dunhere or Erkenbrand). also, i suggest consideration Steed of Imladris in lieu of at least one Steed of the Mark, which effectively supercharges Eowyn's ability when there is an active location

you can also easily take out Miruvor for things like A Test of Will and/or Hasty Stroke or even Galladhrim's Greeting (although there is a nice Valour option available)

also, of note, is that i don't have The Dread Realm, but i'm definitely eyeing Eothain as an inclusion
