Bright, brilliant colors are to be seen everywhere, the stones and pigments undimmed by the passage of decades. The floor of the corridor is a colorful mosaic of stone, with a distinct, winding path of red tiles about 2' wide.

I was disappointed to hear that you were not crazy about the game. I happen to think that it is a very good game. I understand that you felt like you were chasing the Maharaja. I think that the action where you change the order of the cities should have some effect on this.

I've only played this once myself and fell into the trap of building too many houses. However, like most Euros you can see that once players know what they are doing the mechanics will allow spoiling tactics to upset the efficiency of the leading player. I can see potential for this game but will I play it enough with so many other games to choose from...
