In the latest dice tower episode, they mention bidding games that use a bidding-down mechanism (instead of trying to outbid by bidding higher, you would bid lower). Does anyone know of any games with this mechanic?

An auction where the price drops continually over time until someone takes the plunge to buy it (which describes this game perfectly) is called a "Dutch Auction".

There are several games where players have to bid for sides where players vie to be the lower bidder in building a side to combat a fixed opposition. Up Front DYO (design your own) rules include this option as well as Ogre (Players bid to take a smaller number of units to face the dreaded Ogre.)

In 25 Words Or Less, you bid down for the number of clue words you can use to convey answers to your team, low number wins the chance to do so. Sort of like the Name That Tune principle -- I can name that tune in ___ notes.

Also keep in mind drafting games like Queen's Necklace and Atlantic Star where cards diminish in price the longer they are out on the table.

Vegas Showdown is like that. St Petersburg does that on a very small scale (only dropping one gold piece).
