So, I played my first game and really enjoyed. It was a bit overwhelming at first and you really don't understand the importance of placing buildings until you start viewing cards.

So, question, can you rum out of cards in your hand? If building, I don't believe you draw back to five and you could, technically, build your last and have 0 cards. I was trying to argue that you could do the appease the Gods action, and simply do nothing and then last step would be to draw up to five cards, but my friend mentioned that the rules stated that you had to discard at least one card when taking that action of appeasing the Gods....so could you then get stuck? I'm sure I'm missing something.

Bottom of page 5, in a big box

Important: If at the end of your action, you no longer have cards in your
hand, you automatically draw 5 new ones.

Yeah - I agree it would be rare. It was more of just a conversation piece than anything. I have to admit, I missed that important rule in my first read and was concentrating on the Appeasing the Gods section.....Good to know.

I certainly deserved a flame on an apparent answer - thanks for goin easy on me. (I did try searching the forums before posting though.)

I do it when I can. Getting 5 free cards without having to take an action to do so seems like a good thing to do when possible.

Yeah, if my buildings are good, why not? I'd rather build a building than offer 1-2 cards!

It doesn't happen often, but it felt great the few times I did. Sometimes you just have a full hand of great options with more than enough resources to play them all Usually, the main thing that prevents me from pulling this off is not having enough buildings of a certain type.
