I had a brainwave during the weekend, after seeing

s pictures of the clutter a raid can produce in close quarters:

My solution is the following: a counter that juts out under the standard ½" counter by 2-3mm, enough to put a coloured stripe with the name of the altitude band on it - the way I have done it, DECK and LOW altitudes would be on one side of the counter, and MEDIUM and HIGH on the other side (not shown):

The graphics shown was my first test - it needs just a bit more space for the label and better separation for cutting, as well as some tweaking of the colours for the altitude bands.

Coments are welcome

has already done something similar, but I didn't have clear acryllic lying around to build them from, so I went with the cardboard solution, which is a bit more compact, in that the altitude marker has all 4 altitude bands on it

To those who have expressed their interest, I have uploaded version 2 of the markers, in both letter and A4 format.

I would love to hear from you about your experience with using them, a version 3 might be needed - or some different artwork, you tell me

Photorecce of your raids are welcome
