Well I can't quite believe what I found when I looked in the shops in little-old Ledbury Town this morning!

The box is quite sturdy, and there is plenty of room for all of the bagged blocks and the sleeved cards! A bonus is that my wife also has a jigsaw she can put together!

Very pleased!

Does the jigsaw fit in the Columbia box?

What a wonderful!!!!!! jig saw puzzle for any of the Anglophiles on this side of the pond! I'd love a copy, and my wife would love one even more.

For what its worth, it reminds me of Olivier's version of Henry 5

eBay is full of them. Might be tempted myself. Is the box fairly sturdy Dave?

Nice example of thinking outside the box. And you've got better cover art now too .

Actually I was thinking more of 'inside the box'! whistle

While it is great to have so much stuff, it would have been nice to have been able to store it all neatly inside a larger original box.

In addition to the EBay choices, some retailers offered an option of either 1,000 smaller pieces or 250 larger ones........with my eyesight, I chose the larger one and look forward to building towards a glorious VE day with ViE at one end of my gaming table and the jig saw at the other....finishing each of them on the same evening may take some finesse.

That must be one huge table - and would make a great photo!

'would make a great photo' you said.

its 3 foot wide and 6 foot long and makes a great table for me to board game at one end and spouse to do her thing at other end ... fortunately jig-saw puzzle is among things she might do .......but getting her to do it for the half dozen two-hour evenings of a solo ViE game might be a stretch.

In any case most of the table does show in one of two of the more 'angled' map pictures that I posted in the ViE pictures corner.
