Somebody should mod PBF #4! So here we go...

Game Overview:
- The game is a contest between two teams: spies (informed minority) and rebels (uninformed majority). The spies win if they all avoid being killed; the rebels win if they kill at least one spy.
- Each player has an ID (which determines their team affiliation) and a role (which determines their special action). By default, these remain hidden during the entirety of the game.
- A game is played in 5 phases:
1) Prep: distribute role cards/IDs and determine Leader
2) Night Actions: do special actions
3) Declaration: declare your role
4) Discussion: figure out who to kill
5) Voting: vote on who is killed

Rules Summary:
Game Prep
- For X players, X role cards, X Rebel IDs, and 3 Spy IDs are used.
- Each player is given 1 role card and 1 ID, which are kept hidden. The other 3 IDs are left facedown in the middle of the table.
- Each player secretly looks at their role and ID.
- A Leader is randomly determined.
Night Actions
- The spies (if any) identify themselves to each other
- Starting with the Leader, each player in seating order does the special action as dictated by their role card. (Note: some role cards have different actions if the associated ID is spy or rebel.)
Declaration
- Starting with the Leader, each player in seating order announces what their starting role was.
- It is not mandatory to tell the truth.
- Discussion/analysis is not allowed during this phase.
Discussions
- Players freely discuss anything they want.
- It is not mandatory to tell the truth.
- Players are not allowed to look at any facedown role cards or IDs (including their own). Players are not allowed to show anyone their facedown role card or ID.
Voting
- At the end of the specified time limit (or by agreement of all of the players), players simultaneously vote for 1 person whom they wish to kill.
- The player(s) who get the most votes (minimum of 2) is(are) killed.
-- If at least one spy is killed, the rebels win.
-- If no spies are killed, the spies win.
-- Edge case: if the three spy IDs are all in the middle...
--- Rebels win if all players get 1 vote (no one dies).
--- Rebels lose if any player gets 2+ votes (a rebel dies).

Roles:
* Observer: no night action
* Inquisitor: look at one player's ID (not your own)
* Signaler: if spy, tap a spy on the shoulder to your immediate left or immediate right; if rebel, tap a player on the shoulder to your immediate left or immediate right
* Thief: if spy, view your own ID; if rebel, swap your ID with another player's ID and view that new ID
* Reassignor: if spy, switch a spy ID in the HQ with a rebel player's ID; if rebel, swap two other players' IDs
* Analyst: view 1 player's Specialist card
* Confirmer: view your ID
* Revealer: flip a player's ID face up (including your own) and only if it's a spy, flip it back face down
* Blind Spy: if spy, do not wake up during spy reveal phase but instead put your thumb up; if rebel, no night action
* Defector: if spy, view your ID; if rebel, swap your ID with a spy ID in the middle (if none exist, skip)
* Rogue: if spy, swap a rebel's ID with another spy's ID; if rebel, view your ID card

In this game:
* Roles - 1 Reassignor, 2 Inquisitors, 1 Thief, 1 Signaler, 1 Observer
* IDs - 6 Rebels, 3 Spies

NIGHT PHASE:
1. Clipper - SPY Reassignor - Turns KIWI into a SPY
2. Jem - REBEL Inquisitor - Views Slinky as REBEL
3. J-P - REBEL Inquisitor - Views Jem as REBEL
4. Slinky - REBEL Observer - Blissfully unaware
5. Kiwi - REBEL Signaler - now SPY Signaler - Taps Bill
6. Bill - REBEL Thief - Steals from Kiwi - Kiwi becomes REBEL, Bill becomes SPY
*. Clipper - Views himself as SPY

RESULTS:
1. Clipper: 2 (Kiwi, Bill)
2. Jem: 0
3. J-P: 1 (slinky)
4. Slinky: 0
5. Kiwi: 0
6. Bill: 3 (Clipper, Jem, J-P) - Bill the SPY dies - Jem, J-P, Slinky, and Kiwi win!

One Night Resistance #4: WNPP
Let's try another seven player game with the base roleset before we start getting crazy.

I'm thinking a 24-hour period once night actions are complete should be about right. Ideally we'd play Wednesday or Thursday.

You could link to the One Night Revolution rules and just list the changes to revert it back:

I'm not sure I understand the signalers role. I understand why a rebel does the tapping but what about the spies. If the spy is surrounded by rebels does he not tap on any shoulders?
