Inside a copy an open copy of Marracash, I found these:



24 wooden cubes, tan, 3/4 of an inch. I do not think they belong to Marracash, but have no idea to which game they belong.

Anybody know?

Yes, these are the wooden cubes for one side of a chess set (probably white) before they are carved into the actual pieces, and with 8 extras in case of screw-ups during carving.

Oh, so close! They're actually the black pieces - if you look closely, you can see the psychic imprint of the designer's intent to paint them black after carving.
