Speeding from the silver screen and on to your tabletop, Game Salute is proud to announce the launch of their Kickstarter campaign for Fast & Furious: Full Throttle! Take on the roles of the blockbuster franchise's greatest racers and race around two fully customisable tracks on a huge double-sided board. Designers Carla and Jeff Horger have a great history with racing games having already been responsible for the excellent Thunder Alley, but now they've been given free rein with the world's favorite film franchise!

Whether you're hurling your souped-up vehicle around crowded city streets or the dunes of the desert, there's only one goal - be the first across the line, no matter what it takes. Each racer - all taken from the Fast & Furious series, of course - has their own special ability that will help give them the edge, but as always you'll have to rely on your skills to ensure you're leading as you hit the finish! Players decide exactly what route they'll take and how busy the track will be, then upgrade their cars precisely how they like them, just like real racers.

Once the action starts, clever card play will see you take an early lead, but watch out for your opponents' actions that could see them pull out for the perfect pass. Everyone will jostle for position, triggering nitrous boosts that will leave everyone in the dust... or spinning out on an unexpectedly tight corner! Games play quickly and though the stakes are always high, Fast & Furious: Full Throttle can always be reset for one more attempt to reclaim your title as the greatest driver around. Between two and four players can take part in this hi-octane challenge, and no two games will be the same thanks to the wealth of options (and pieces!) you'll find in the box. The campaign runs from April 29 through to May 14, and it's sure to bring bring in petrolheads and hardcore gamers alike - drop the flag, hit the gas and head to Kickstarter now!

And what a bull-crap of KS project this is...

Where to start?

- $100 Funding Goal?? Could you be more blatant? This is not a KS project... it's a Pre-Order Project, nothing More

- Only ships to 11 Countries?? Why not every country inside the EU at least?

- Not even bothered to do a KS Video presentation of the game??? Could you guys be more lazy with this Project??

Man, it's a real shame!!

Even more blatant, we even say it at the top of the page that the campaign is for supporters who would like to pre-order the game and give us an indication about how many copies to print. We're working perfectly within the rules of Kickstarter, and we communicate with them regularly to ensure that what we do is fine by them.

Why are we only shipping to eleven countries? Because we only have the rights to ship to those eleven countries. If we could ship to more, we would, but the contract we signed with NBC/Universal limits us to those areas.

Why no video? Using footage from the films isn't covered under our license. A video of how to play the game will be uploaded at the weekend by Michael from The Little Metal Dog Show once it's been completed.

You learn something every day... always thought it was "reign". Edited to be correct!

Well done!

Incidentally, I completely understand why licensing restricts the countries where you can sell the game, but I don't get how it restricts you from using movie-related component images in the KS campaign. That makes no sense.

It's all down to the small print on the contract, Aaron. All we can suggest is having a look at the rulebook, for no reason whatsoever!
