This could be considered my local game store. Sigh...

What an incredible variety of games. Which one do I choose?

Horseopoly. Now THAT looks riveting.

Word of advice: Avoid "Monopoly - Rudolph the Red-Nodes Reindeer Edition." It's not nearly as good as it sounds.

Well, I'm goin' for Chocolatopoly. Only because I'm imagining that I can eat the game during the course of the play session, and then it wouldn't be in my collection anymore to embarass me. arrrh

You need the "Unfortunate Fire" card from Filthy Rich.

Scratch that.

Fire couldn't even help that store.

Sorry man.

That photo just motivated me to drop Monopoly from a "2" to a "1" in my ratings.

Other games are worse, sure, but at least they aren't takikng up THAT much shelf space.

That's not even a tiny percentage. Yehuda has counted 1077 as of just before I pressed submit on this post. See his list here http://jergames.blogspot.com/2006/02/monopoly-versions.html

Based on your avatar, I'd say the only choice for you is the Pirates of the Carribean-opoly hiding there behind some others.

Looks like a Go! The Game Store... plunked in a mall and drawing in the unwashed masses. At least the Go! store near me would lure shoppers in with -opolies and then expose them to quite a few decent games like Settlers, Carcassone, M44, etc.

As for the number of -opolies out there, check out www.lateforthesky.com, that's where they all come from!

Sure, a great variety of games is very important, but do they offer Monopoly play tables for serious gaming clubs?
