hmmmm.....have you taken a look at Castle Danger? (GameID: 6995)

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for....but it kind of resembles your game....to a point anyways!

An abstract chess-like game which involved building fortresses in order to block out one's opponent. Mentally challenging, albeit not overly stimulating.



I may have it in a bundle of atari 800 roms I have. I will check tonight when I am home.

Depending on its complexity, it may easily be emulated with a normal chessbaord (8x8) and a couple generic game pieces, maybe Icehouse pieces.

Well, my rom was for the other version.

I did find this online though:

It gives a supposed rule rundown. It sounds like there were 3 levels of castle, and it sounds like flags were simply showing who had ownership of non-occupied, adjacent squares.
