running out of space...
Haven't seen this annual Edinburgh gathering flagged up here yet, so just to draw your attention to the event, in case you can make it to Princes Street this Sunday and fancy a fairly informal gathering of board game enthusiasts.
DiceCon East 2006
When: Sunday 26 November 2006, 10am until late. Drop in any time and you'll find people to play with.
What: a full day of informal gaming. The DiceCon East event is about coming along and playing games. There may be competitions. But the emphasis is on games: playing and having fun. A large library is kindly provided by the organizers and some other generous souls. Feel free to bring your own favourites.
Where: Overseas House, 100 Princes Street, Edinburgh. Right in the middle of Princes Street but please check out the official event page for detailed venue information because you're likely to walk straight by it if you don't know what you're looking for. It's best to avoid Edinburgh City centre by car if you can, it's a stones throw awy from the station, and there aren't many buses that don't come near to Princes Street. Parking nearby is possible, but only if you get there early. Otherwise you're gonna need some luck as the Princes Street shopping area is very busy this time of year.
How much will it cost you? There's a modest entrance fee of £5.
DiceConEast is the east coast sister event of Glasgow's DiceCon, also organized by the Scottish Boardgames Association, but the emphasis is on relaxed gaming rather than the more competitive tournaments that characterize the Glasgow gathering. The previous years have seen a healthy mix of gamers, enthusiasts, families with kids, and great banter. Fragor Games will attend, but their latest offering has sold out, as you probably know. I suspect it will be played though.
Hope to see you there.

I'll be there. I'll be there on Saturday, knocking around, nothing to do...
