If the text you want to print is small enough then use Word or some other word processor and print on business card paper. The word processor program will have a template for printing to business cards. And most office supply stores have business card paper that is a bit thicker than normal and the cards are perforated and just tear apart (the entire sheet is a normal 8.5 x 11 and works in any printer).

Have you thought about any Adobe products? Specifically, Illustrator is probably ideal. Another good one for doing layouts and such is OmniGraffle...it's only available for OS X, though.
