Recently I've finished an article collecting observations and ideas, as well as some concrete mechanics and stories, from running a fairly large number of campaign and narrative tournament wargaming events lately. My experiences are mostly from 40k, but the concepts and article writeup are all very generic and applicable to any wargaming. Much of it similarly applies within the design of individual games as well as campaign or other structures linking matches together.
