Good God, I need a piece of that sweet "intense strategy" action. Anyone want to go in on this? I'm in for $10.

He must be crazy! Why would you sell a game that game will make you 5MIL for only 2MIL?

"Estimated gross annual revenue from this game is about US$5 Million for the first year, and approximately $15 - US$20 Million per year thereafter."

Wow. Just... wow. Try as I might, I can't decide whether this guy is a really, really naive "inventor" or a very bad con man. Hilarious, tough. Specially this part:

"This game, Trinoly, is ideal for a small or large business to add to its product portfolio or someone who simply wants to market it and generate cash flow without doing too much work, except have it distributed to retail stores, they sell it for you and you just collect the check forever".

C'mon people! All this time you've been feeding me the "Woe is to the game designer, for his work is hard and his pay short", and now I find out you don't do too much work and collect the check forever! arrrh

HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

$2,000,000!

HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

Better than checkers!

HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

No seriously, let's all sign on to our ebay accounts and mock him. I sent him this note:

Quote:

$2,000,000!

What a vivid imagination you have.

You do realize that Avalon Hill, the grandfather of INTENSE STRATEGY GAMES was sold off a few years ago for a measly $6,000,000, a deal that included the rights to HUNDREDS of games.

That, and game designers usually don't get paid in the millions of dollars. Go ask one on www.boardgamegeek.com.

Good luck with your listing though.

Wow. I wonder how different it is from, say, Nine Men's Morris.

but I just couldn't come up with the rest of the money they need, $6,500 to finish the design, and develop the prototype.

Firstly, HOW MUCH for developing a prototype?

Secondly, $5M revenue thrown away for the sake of $6,500?

$2M seems like a bargain for this guaranteed-return purchase. To where in Nigeria should I send the cheque?

Can't you already buy '9 Mens Morris' in most thrift stores for peanuts?

Oh sorry... this is an entirely new game... isn't it?

Gee, Paul, look. You can have a $20Mil/year cash flow except for having the game distributed to stores.

His expected distribution looks to be 1.3 million units per year.

Sound familiar?

This is my favorite part:

Quote:

IMPROVEMENT
The game Trinoly can be developed, the board and the playing chips can be easily re-developed later on to increase its playing depth for an even tough playing strategy or matches.

So yeah, if my design sucks, feel free to redevelop it YOURSELF! Aren't you glad your 2,il gave you that right?

AND...he hasn't patented it. SO all you're buying is HIS specific board image, and his rules text.

I almost hope he sells it, just for his chutzpah.

He's an Idiot. But one that is looking for that "one" special idiot that would actually buy it. You will see this ebay ad over and over again. He's just living by the theory that a sucker is born every minute.

Good job spotting that one... I vaguely remembered I had seen something very similar played many years ago but for the life of me couldn't figure out what it was.

He'll be waiting for a long time. Yes, there are plenty of idiots. They usually don't have 2 million dollars to piss away tough.
