New user... first post. Please forgive me if there was a better way for me to get this info.

As a kid growing up in Idaho, I would buy ANY game I could get my hands on from the somewhat limited selection offered me by the book, game and hobby stores in my area.

I was trying to remember a bunch of games I had that all came in little plastic containers. I remembered "Car Wars" and Wikied that and was reminded of both the "Car Wars" expansions and also "Ogre". Reminiscing and nostalgia ensued.

BUT...

I also had a Dracula-themed game that was also, like "Ogre" and "Car Wars" a hex-based board game that you played with cardboard chits and a fold-up paper board. I'm fairly certain that it also came in a small plastic container that was the same size as the others. I would have sworn that it was also a Steve Jackson game but that is apparently incorrect.

"Ogre" and "Car Wars" were both GREAT games but this was equally good. I remember little but I do remember characters from the novel were referenced like Lucy, Mina, Renfield, etc, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you get an answer soon, but in the mean time you may want to check this site out. It has a ton of those microgames:

I'm pretty sure the game you are thinking of is Undead. It fits your description with the exception that the board did not feature hexes.

Guys, thank you all for your responses and links.

It was "Undead". I remember it fondly but I was much less easily entertained back then.

This is a great site.
