I was wondering where on BBG can one go to see the versions of games from the past. Like Acquire, Monopoly, Parcheesi foreinstance issued different version over the years. And how can one find the value of extinct rare games that are sought after but have long been out of production?

Hello and welcome to BGG. You can see pictures of and get information regarding various editions of games by simply searching for the game and perusing the game page. As far as value, you can look in the BGG Marketplace to see what games are listed at, but you may have more luck by looking through completed auctions on EBay for the past 30 days. That information is also available on the individual game's page here on BGG. Lastly, you could try posting in the game's forum and asking for an opinion regarding value--there is a lot of knowledge amongst BGG members.
