My suggestion is to organize the "Category" and "Mechanic" check boxes in the Advanced Game Search. The minimal thing to do is to put them in alphabetical order. Something more ambitious would be to put them in groupings. The trick of course is to come up with sensible groupings, and I am sure there are many ways ways to do it. But for example, you might try to organize the Category section into:

subject (political, horror, economic, wargame, ...)

time period (ancient, medievel, ...)

bits (cards, miniatures, dice, ...)

game play (negotiation, bluffing, ...)

and so on. Thanks for your consideration.

I posted about this and did not hear anything. Is the current organization of the Advanced Search page intentional? If so, it makes little sense to the user who is seeking to add/eliminate a category. Instead of the alphabetical structure from before, we now have to hunt through the entire list, just to eliminate abstract, collectible, or wargames.
