I was curious on people's thoughts on card shufflers? How well do these things work for non-standard cards (say a bit smaller then normal) or desks that that are perhaps well under 52 cards (or somewhat over 52).

Auto? Manual? Anything to look for?

thanks for any input!
Paul

We bought and automatic one for the large decks of smaller cards (with a large number of cards) that come with the crayon train games. It works pretty well though sometimes one or two slip out of the stack but they are easily seen.

Just so most people know - I am concerned about damaging the cards, but none of us are very good shufflers.... The best shuffler we have sort of gives us a bend on many of the cards.

Again thanks in advance on the input1

I've had 2 automatic shufflers before and they're rubbish. I got a manual shuffler from Adamspielt that works a treat though.

We play Nuclear War with ALL 3 expansions and we thought a card shuffler would be a great time saver, right? Well... maybe not. NW has a LOT of cards, so we loaded it up several times. Then there's the noise factor. That pretty much killed the card shuffler idea for us.

A roommate of mine bought a shuffler for his Magic cards back in the day. Awful idea. Cards got mangled. Noise woke the other roommate up.
Maybe there are better ones out there now, I don't know.
