I'm trying to find a game for a friend of mine. From what I gathered, he's more of a social Euro gamer. He has Catan and PR. Hated Alambra because there wasn't enough control. He has and adores Junta. Loved Power Grid but hated that he couldn't influence decisions as much. He also likes Betryal and bought it right after he played it. TTR is too light and not euro enough. He's an experienced gamer who loves some strategy with econmics. He also plays MTG on and off. I believe he would perfer a game that can handle a lot of players. Any thoughts on what to get him?

I think he may like Antike (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/19600). It has economics, euro feel, good re-playability and a good theme. Does he like ancient world games?

RoboRally is also a good game.

Already has Roborally. I might test out El Grande on him. What about Goa, Ys, or T&E? How much social action/dry are these games?

T&E has quite alot of conflict but it's not like the social/trading aspect that is prevelant in a game like Catan.

YS has less interaction yet because half of your information about what a player may be doing during a round is hidden. Therefore your ability to have direct influence on each other is limited by that fact.

Goa (Which I love, BTW) has only the Aution phase where you can have some interaction with other players. If Power Grid was a no go - Goa has even less interaction, I'd say this one's out.
