I need a list of good 6-7 players games for my gaming group.
Prefer to be under 3 hours.

They love:
Bang!
Shadows over Camelot
Shogun(Milton Bradley)

Well liked:
For Sale(I was surprised)
Citadels(This one started slow but is now becoming well-liked)

OK:
Bohnanza

Any ideas for other games for this group?

Don't play Power Grid or Carcassonne with 6 players - RoboRally ok I guess, the others I haven't tried.

Robo Rally is a good choice, I would also suggest Twilight Imperium 3 as well.

I've been busily searching for a 6-7 player game myself and I think I've finally settled on getting Fearsome Floors.

Looks like a hoot and from the other games your group likes, it may be perfect. Seems as though it plays fairly quick and has a good amount of interaction. The "variable" construction of the monster puts it over the top for me.

I'd say TI3 is a bit long for what you want. I might check out Mall of Horror or Rette Sich Wer Kann as well.

Since your group seems to like games with high interaction, Bill, one game you really should consider is I'm the Boss. It's a fantastic, funny game that plays best with six.

If your group has members of both sexes (and doesn't mind off-color humor), Funny Friends is a unique game that takes up to six.

Showmanager/Atlantic Star is a very good middleweight for six.

Seven-player games of some weight are few and far between. Struggle of Empires is well worth considering, but you might have problems keeping it to three hours or less (particularly with seven).

For something lighter, Coyote/Pow Wow works very well with seven and can even handle eight!

Are they hesitant to be split into two groups? I've a lunch group that hovers around this number, and I've had to work on getting them to split. Besides the fact that I'm getting tired of those few games that can be played during a lunch hour for this many people, I'm also finding a hesitancy to invite more players because we're already maxed out.

my group when we have that many people usually prefers to play
aussie rules super earthling abductor
its easy to learn, turn speed is super quick, and fun 4 gamers and non
yes its my game and i did design it specifically for those nights when
everyone actually shows up (it seems to play best with 6)
a lot of games that say you can play with 6 or 7 players
are really best played with 4 players and slow down too much with 6-7
(i dont like 6 player settlers or carcassonne or illuminati(i do like them with 4 however))
i apologise if i offended anyone with this shameless act of self promotion but honestly this is my favorite game for a group of that size

i'll hook you up with a free copy if you want to try it out

beware that some of the games recommended max at 6 player, rather than 6-7 player.
Another 6-player game I can recommend is Cash n Guns
For 7 players you could also try Saboteur, and I definately second Fearsome Floors and Robo Rally.

it's a good racing game, not to complicated, with some luck involved, and plays under 3 hours.

Saboteur is fantastic with 6-7 players.
And so are Apples to Apples and Railroad Tycoon

I just played it for the first time yesterday, but I was going to say that it seems like Saboteur might work well. Plus it's a pretty cheap thing to try out.

For six players, I would highly recommend "Dune." We play it with our family, and it is their favorite. Asychronous powers, no dice, and if you play with alliances it will not usually go over 2-3 hours. You can pick it up on eBay or make your own from the entry here on the geek.

just had a look at the games you own and want, have you thought about onward christian soldier? It isn't out quite yet but I'm told it will be by maybe the end of the month. It is a seven players and has a great theme (the crusades) and it fits your time limit if you just play one crusade, as opposed to all of them (or so I am told).

On the other hand, if you *did* have another few people, they might be more willing to split, when they recognized that you just don't have the games for a group that large.

As to the original question:
6-7 player Dutch Blitz! You can make decks out of normal decks of cards (with different backs), or you can get the Ligretto sets. Okay, you need just the right table, but I'd love to try this.

For 6, I'm The Boss is awesome. Absolutely fantastic. So long as you like negotiation games, anyway. I wouldn't play it with any number of players *other* than 6, but it's worth it just for that. I'd say it's closer in flavor to Shadows than to Bohnanza, though it's pretty far from either. At any rate, it has that "group interaction" thing going on for it, with some nice take-that cardplay mixed in.

Pitchcar plays up to 8, and doesn't take long. It's totally different from anything you've mentioned, though - lighter. And flicking-based.

I'll second the recommendation for RoboRally. Plays up to 8 and gets better with every player added.

Thanks everyone for your ideas it will influence my next purchase.

The problem with splitting up is the place where we play is kinda cramped.
We only have one table.
