I picked up a copy of Titan and did the counters count. I'm coming up with 424 characters, 109 number chits, and 72 legion flags. Total is 605. I keep reading that there are 621 counters. After several recounts and some minor psychosis, I keep getting 605. I then saw the blank chits. 8 small and 8 large. Are these the missing chits?

So, 605 counters is the correct number?

612 is the right number. They transposed the last 2 digits in the rules.

OK. Let's try this a different way.

I've determined that the character counter count and the Legion counter count appear to be correct - 424 and 72, respectively. I assume, then, that there should be, assuming 612 is the correct total, 116 numeric counters. Assuming 621 is the correct total, there ought to be 125 numeric counters. I'm counting 109 numeric counters. My count is 605. 8 blank, small counters and 8 blank, large counters. 621 all told.

Anyone care to actually just answer the question without me having to play 20 questions?

OK I have an unpunched games sitting in front of me. There are 8 counter sheets each having one BLANK and each measures 9x7. So thats 504 counters (INCLUDING 8 BLANKS). The hit counter sheet (totally irrelevant to game play) is 9X13=117 (INCLUDING 8 BLANKS AS WELL) THATS 621 TOTAL. For reference each counter sheet is a different color, so there should be 62 of each color.

If you need further help letme know.

I was "researching," hence the appearance that I answered after you already had your answer.

Fantastic, nicely done, great reply, one of the best.

Nice list, too, I'm going to save it.

Thanks, Kevin,

You and John appear to have gotten the point. I was somewhat irritated by the vacant and goofy responses from the first two posts. Talk about a complete and utter waste of effort. I do hope that effort does count for something in whatever bizarro world some folks live in - generally, though, not in mine.

I appreciate the thorough responses. It's interesting to me that there isn't a complete list of Titan components out there that I was able to find. The images posted here were extremely useful except there isn't an image of an unpunched numeric chit sprue. I was going to do the math to figure out what the likely configuration was but didn't get around to it because of the answers from the two of you.

Again, my thanks to both of you.

You're welcome. I put this info into a spreadsheet and submitted it to the files section. Hopefully it'll help others.

I also heavily relied on the images for my original inventory check.

Have fun with the game.
