About a month ago, I posted about a solitaire Tic-Tac-Toe book. I may have trumped that on my trip to NYC today.

At the Compleat Strategyst in New York, I came across "Rock, Paper, Scissors: the Boardgame".

Turns out it's listed on the geek here:

OK, what are these people possibly thinking?

This is no doubt an abominable product... but it's certainly not the worst boardgame ever. It's not even a boardgame.

If you click on "New Dice" on the following page and scroll down, you'll find a pair of D12 "Rock, Scissors, Paper" dice actually packaged as a "game." Bizarre.

The site does seem to have some interesting products, though.

Yeah, most Koplow games aren't really games, but random chance simulations.

I found a game that is worse, so bad that it is NOT allowed on BGG because it is worse than the Ungame.

Look up Howling Monkeys by Howling Monkeys Inc.

Sigh. Just a lame attempt to capitalize on the popularity of Rock, Paper, Scissors: Online.

From a retailer:

"In Howling Monkeys, two to six players age 9 and above take turns make their way around the board by rolling a die and performing tasks. Tasks vary from creating an object out of clay for others to guess to telling a story that may include a certain list of words. Players get to appreciate how people communicate through eye contact, body language, choice of words and imagery..... Not only will the family have fun acting out various scenarios described on the game cards, but will also be entertained by the consequences of the action commands."

Sounds like a sucky Crainium ripoff.

No, it isn't. At least someone can win. The Pumpkin King is the worst game ever. Check it out:

lol - that is a sad game. I would get really depressed seeing a child playing that with him/herself.

So I don't know if it's the worst game - but it sure is the sadest

I dont think this is necessarily bad, it prevents cheating/waiting until the last possible instant and morphing your hand into what beats your opponents. I wouldnt exactly call it a board game, but I wouldnt say it deserves to be hit with 1 ratings either.

Hey, that was MY idea for multiplayer rock-paper-scissors!

No, I do mean that. I was playing around with what to do as the world's quickest multiplayer game, and had the idea of a rps game where you scored one point for each person you beat, and highest score won.

Meant far more as a joke, or you have 5 seconds you wanted to kill.
