Has anyone painted any of the sacred 40 miniatures yet? If so, how was your experience?

Please post some pictures.

Looking good! Quick question, did you prime first and if so what did you use?

Thanks,
Tim

Yes I did. I used "Skull White" spray primer by Citadel.

This is what I use for reference.

This is Anne's blog. She's the one that painted all the minis for the gencon booth. She posted closeup pics of all her painted minis.

Excellent job!

Did you mind the collars? A few on the Reaper forums were sorta unhappy with them because they wanted the miniatures for other gaming.

How was the scale compared to 28mm figures?

I don't mind the colors at all. They are usually not noticeable as anything other than jewelry until you scrutinize the figs more deeply. They could easily be used in other games.

As for size, they are quite a bit larger than a standard 28mm. Most are closer to 30-35mm.

Hi, your figures look great Adam, fantastic work! Sorry I'm late to the party sharing and thanks for posting my blog for reference for people

http://minicreatures.blogspot.com/

if it's easier for reference I think most I did from last year are here as well for less hunting:

http://annecooper.deviantart.com/gallery/54087502/AJG-Miniat...

I am working on painting more figures for Gencon 2016 for Fairytale Games Battle Royale (74) and Dragon Tides (8). So I hope it may be something of a positive sign that the evolution of the game continues.

I must confess the business side of the kickstarter, I don't have a lot of details, or helpful info on when stuff will ship. I wish I could provide some more substantial insight into it.

I'll try to post more figures as I go, trying to balance work & painting

Painting wise I've been using Tamiya grey primer for plastic & metal. Also soaked the figures a bit in warm soapy water to clean them prior to priming (after cleaning mold lines with a sharp Xacto). Paints I'm using are a variety of Reaper, GW & Vallejo.
