This game has endless possibilities for future expansions. Let's list our ideas for animals we would hope to one day see and potential ideas for the theme of their decks!

Existing animals:
- Snappy Scarlet Macaws
- Dealing Giant Pandas
- Thieving Northern Raccoons
- Hoarding Flying Squirrels
- Lucky Ocelots
- Adapting Veiled Chameleons

That's makes a reptile, a rodent, a feline, a bird, and two bear-like creatures.

Therefore I recommend...

1) AMPHIBIAN

- Friendly Frogs that can't attack and "help" everyone
- Fiery-tempered Salamanders that intimidate (flaming items)

2) ARTHROPOD

- Crafty Crabs that want to collect rubbish and make good use of it
- Praying Mantis Monks that sell hand-crafted goods for their religious order

3) MOLLUSKS

- Ambidextrous Octopus that can manage multiple decks and that relies on aquatic items
- Slippery Snails that can hide in their shell and prevent Raccoon attacks and people manipulating their deck

From the Australian expansion:

5) MAMMALS

- Paradoxical Platypuses that must play multicolored stacks in their stall (after the first stack)
- Thoughtful Red Kangaroos that can place one card in their pouch and play it later

Love the animal ideas, that is very cool. My favourites from those descriptions are the snails, crabs and friendly frogs. But the others you have proposed also sound awesome!!

Really clever suggestions! Some of these are scary close to the ones I have in the works.

+1 for an Australian themed expansion.

Oh that old story again....
For gods sake we don't have any arms or hands for that matter.
How are we to use those fancy knives and forks like you ocelots??
jeees

On topic: The Riding warthogs, this bikergang comes riding in on their "hogs" and take over your stall. Offering you "protection" if you sell their "not so legal" wares

From the Lost World expansion (AKA Jurassic Lark expansion)

6) DINOSAURS

- Clumsy Brachiosaurs that randomly destroy items in the market and the biggest stalls (roll the ocelot die for the target)
- Enraged Allosaurs that cannot build stacks and can only win by eliminating all other players (play stacks of "bites" from hand)

So much fun with these ideas!

In tribute to the goblin sharks, "We're gonna need a bigger boat!" (i.e. when's the expansion coming, Sami)*

There are so many awesome ideas here! I like the idea of crabs best, in particular they could be the Fabulous Dresser Crabs like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYyFTK0C4Nw

Perhaps they could collect junk cards and somehow turn them into beautiful garments/normal cards? haha

Cool link about the dresser crabs! The archer fish in that video was really interesting as well.

Funny to think that scavengers like crabs suddenly become appealing in a deck building game in which there are rubbish cards.

Theme is fun.

Us warthogs don't want to be your friends, in fact we will rough you pantsy ocelots up a bit if you don't want to sell our wares, you got that kitty?

The goblinsharks love the crabs too especially for breakfast hehehe

But seriously turning trash cards into nice goods is a great idea, so those crabs is a win for me!

The thiefing magpies - these birds like anything shiny, they will steal from your market if you are not looking, or even take cards straight out of your hand.

The Deadly Awesome Possums. Their abilities only come into play when they look like they're dead (2 or 3 stalls behind everyone else). They do stuff like build 2 stalls in a turn, or discard an opponent's last stall. They're the catch-up guys.

Hey Mary, thanks for posting your possum idea!
They seem like a lot of fun to play with.

How about the undead possums? they play undead and bite you when you are not looking??
NAH!!

Just thought of a new one!

Smelly dirty dungbeetles - when a new item comes out to the marketplace, the dungbeetles put their dirty hands on it getting poop all over it and makes it undesirable for all other animals. Or in playterms they put a poop marker on it and other animals can not buy this item. It also loses it's value and therefore the dungbeetles can buy it cheap. Of course their market stalls are smelly too so the cards drop the value by one or two so it's less easy for them to build their stalls eventhough they can buy items cheaper
