Seeing as my efforts to purchase this game fell through, I'm considering just making my own.

I'm pondering the simplest way to do this.

Seems all that's needed is one set of cards, on which you write locations. (Words only also gets rid of the artwork problem.)

And then you use playing cards to determine the spy.

Everyone works out of they're a spy or not.

Then the location card is passed around. But the spy has to be honest and not actually look at it.

Could this work? (The honesty system). It would certainly save on printing!

For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.

I can't imagine that it would be easy to not look at a card while convincingly pretending to look at it. It'd probably be fine people had to close their eyes while each person looks at it, though. Pre-game would probably take a significantly longer time.

Aha - gotcha, thanks.

I was thinking maybe there was an app which could be used instead of having cards. ie, something you pass from player to player. I'd get that in a shot.

Disclaimer: I've not tried this yet, will probably do so on the 18th July on our next Games Night. Just need to have enough android phones handy (at least one of our gamers has a stupid Windows phone!). I wish this send an email or had separate direct messaging as we have plenty if tablets could be used

Nice. shame it's not on ios.

This game cries out for a simple app like that.

Interesting. Could use s little more user friendliness (need to open lots of tabs to join the room as different people), but seems functional.

Thanks!

I don't know what the availability is overseas but I think it's now readily available here in the US. The artwork is amazing...I can't imagine trying to play this on a homemade version. Doable of course but as much fun. Buy it if you can!

You can ignore the Create/Join room stuff and just click on "Start Game" and then hand whatever you are using the page on around, each player just clicks/taps their name and it tells them what they are.
