Number one in the hood gee....ninja

So as I sit in line on Saturday waiting to see Eragon, blasting Lord of the Rhymes on my iPod and reading the mid chapters of "Hunters of Dune" in line. I will be thinking about about my playing of Perikles and Tichu the night before. But not before I pray to Wilson that my Adam Spielt order isn't being used as a warm pillow for some barbary pirate on it's way from Europe...Nerdcore!

A true test of a true nerd coined term would be who used it first on usenet. As it goes, it was used as far back as the mid-90's.

To bad that the genre is so new that there is hardly any talent out there. 9/10ths of all nerdcore rappers are terrible... wherase only about 3/4 of all gangsta rappers are terrible. I'll check back in a few years.

but but but...According to Wikipedia (which is always correct), self-described nerdcore musician MC Frontalot coined the term in 2000 in the song "Nerdcore Hiphop".

We'll know this music has hit the mainstream when we start seeing Vespas with subwoofers and gold-plated fanny packs.
