Great to hear you have your new toys!

The landmarks are larger spaces -- they are naturally twice as wide and twice as long as a regular squares. So, four pieces ("landscape tiles") make one landscape space. There is one label per landmark because the entire 2x2 box is the landmark.

You'll notice the edges of those four pieces on the inside of the landmark are shaped a bit differently than the regular squares. There is a certain way the four pieces fit together to create the single landmark. From there, the normal squares or other landmarks can be placed adjacent.

Further, the rules governing landmarks differ to a degree from normal squares.

I'm guessing there is some manufacturing reason to do it that way...
