Wilco released a surprise free album on their website today. In what is the greatest album title/cover combo since Big Black's Songs About Fucking, the album is called Star Wars and the cover is a cat.

The album isn't half bad either.

There was a band called Green that was popular at my college (Chicago area, late '80s) and while I was there R.E.M. came out with their "Green" album. So Green (the band) named their next EP "REM". Seemed very funny at the time because R.E.M. was one of the most popular bands in the country.



PS Green eventually ended up on the Jettison label...owned by Big Black's Jeff Pezzati.
