I seem to have mostly finished up my prototype for my Solitaire Tactics Game "Mercenaries" and was looking for critique and playtesters, though I will solve the latter by posting in the Looking for Playtesters sub-section.
Mercenaries, inspired by both Consim Press´ The Hunters and just about any movie about a commando or his team from the 80s onwards, is a Tactical-Level Game about living and surviving through about 30 years of mercenary life. Other influences include "The A-Team" and "Metal Gear" in just about every incarnation, and surely many others, but those are the big ones.
As a solitaire game, Mercenaries leads the player through missions around the world during the high time of the Cold War, while abstracting many of the rather risque decisions and events to include a plethora of gameplay within it. Each mission will throw the player into conundrums of encountering enemy forces, high-speed chases of jeeps and tanks or something as simple as a enemy checkpoint that you need to circumvent, not to forget that you have a certain target with your mission, whether you are out to Search&Destroy or going for a Forced Personnel Relocation.
