Just downloaded the Vassal module, disappointed to find no scenario setups, but guess that's DG protecting their investment.
That said the rules refer to colour maps but we only got black and white.

Reading through the AW rules 32,10,2 are the 75AT and 88AT generic?

Also looking at the map there is a unit at C4623 (II/980) ET but this unit does not appear in the german starting unit list, is it meant to be ET2 ?
Ive also noticed that the 272 Div units are on the map as ET but most are ET2 in the list.

I believe this is a work in progress and corrections are being made. Check CSW folder and you will get more up to date info.

Is Vassal useful for solo play when you don't have space for all the maps?

I think that the Vassal module for AW will be the only way to play the game for most of us.
I know its likely to be work in progress, but my questions were not about Vassal but about the Goodwood Scenario setup.
Will start having a look through the older posts on here and then consimworld.

II/980 should indeed be in C4623 with an ET. Note that the 2 on the ET counter denotes how many combat defensive shifts it generates and is not the type designation for the ET. A plain ET marker shows a "2" on the counter. An ET2 has a "3" on the counter. A little confusing, I know, but Doug wanted the number of defensive shifts on the counter.

So, repeating:

ET = ET2 on the counter-a level one ET has two def shifts.

ET2 = ET3 on the counter-a level two ET has three def shifts.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Joe....Im reading through all the previous posts on here and then going to have a look at Consimworld.
Only had the game a couple of months, counters are all punched, not sure they will see the light of day now I have Vassel.
Great looking game but I have too admit Im struggling with the Goodwood setup... hopefully it will become clearer.

For example

C4424: ET2, 75AT Coy x1 ......would have been easier with 1-2-9 added

I am assuming the following
ET2 puts an entrenchment marker level 2 on the unit
Et3 puts an entrenchment marker level 3 on the unit

Tried playing the UTAH beach amphibious invasion module using vassal

Sub-phase 1 engineers on both beaches stacked on the landing diagram do not match the diagram. (They were the ones to use on OMAHA only)

Solution - Had to create new count US_ENG3_BD_A and B.

The beach obstacle marker does not rotate once flipped

Solution - New marker created to allow rotation, just swap marker.

Found OMAHA beach map orientation difficult so rearranged map to line the beaches up
UTAH - OMAHA - GOLD - JUNO - SWORD
