Several of our group members have been upset with the fact that many events could lead to Duels, but there are no rules for it.

So we created our own as below:

Several of the Town Locations have events which result in duels.
These already have some results, but a new result should be added as follows:

Accept the challenge and fight the Duel:
It is assumed if you don't have a gun, someone will loan you one.
The next day before choosing town locations, any characters who have accepted the challenge now fight the duel as follows:

Gun Duels: Limit once per Town Stay
You cannot use grit on this roll
Roll 2d6: If you roll a gun fighter result see the table below
2-3 - Expert Gun Fighter (Roll On Gun Fights Table)
4-5 Outlaw Gun Fighter (Roll On Gun Fights Table)
6-8 Average Gun Fighter (Roll On Gun Fights Table)
9-10 Gives you 100 dollars to not fight him - gain 50 XP and 1 grit token
11-12 No Show, gain 50 XP, and Up to your max Grit tokens

Gun Fights Table Gain 50XP:
Depending on the Gun Fighter, you are facing, various rolls will hit them and wound you.
Each also has a Save number which is rolled on any successful hit against them.
Roll Standard attack using guns, Dual Wielding is allowed as well. Grit may be used as well as any skills or abilities. (No criticals are allowed)
Guns which do not roll a D6, count as D6 number of shots on the card.

Gun Fighter table:
Expert Gun Fighter: Rolls of 1-2 will hit you and rolls of 5 or 6 will wound him. (5+ Save) (No Criticals are allowed)
Outlaw Gun Fighter: Rolls of 1 will hit you and rolls of 5 or 6 will wound him (5+ Save) (No Critcals are allowed)
Average Gun Fighter: Rolls of 1 will hit you and rolls of 4,5, or 6 will wound him (6+ Save)
For each hit not saved suffer D3 wounds.

Winning is determined by the number of Hits inflicted after saves. Whoever has more wins.

If the Player wins he earns 100 gold, and Up to his Max Grit in tokens.
as well as Reputation (For the rest of that town visit you always start each new day with 1 Grit),
Characters with the Wanted ability, must roll one additional die each time this is rolled for the rest of that town stay.
Wounds from Duel carry over to the next adventure.
After all duels are over, continue the town rules as normal.

What do you think? We are still fleshing them out, do you have any ideas to help us.

thanks,

You've already got this going in a thread over in Variants, which IMO is more appropriate. Don't spread out your responses.

I do. I couldn't figure out how to delete it and repost here.

How do I do that? since I originally posted in the wrong forum.

That's where it belongs, so leaving it be is perfect.

Send a pm to one of the admins. I think Octavian can fix you up.

Now never do it again!
