Been developing these for a couple of years, finally figured out how to make them for everyone.
This coming MONDAY is the day!

Seems to me that square corners could scuff marking the tokens and also make them less easy to palm as opposed to a round coin-like shape that then people could do sleight of hand tricks with.

Michael, thanks for your comment.
The tokens are 1/4 inch solid wood and the image is engraved, in the few years that I've been using them, you don't get them scuffed up. I've thought about round, which I would like, but there are some advantages to square that I really like.

Once the kickstarter is live next Monday you can see more of them.

thanks!

But listen again. Is it really the wind, or is it the sound of somebody running one step ahead of the dark?

I would also be nervous about variations in the wood grain or the stain revealing which token someone had.

I have played some Columbia Games which use fog of war and wooden pieces and I can't ever tell.

I bet you could probably tell if you spent time each game studying each piece a couple of inches away.

The difference though is that this has only a few rather than many. Easier to naturally register.

If you guys are in the SoCal area, I could play a game with you and show you them, you can't tell unless you are TRYING to find a particular one. The rule I use is you have 2 seconds to grab the token from the bag, if the moderator senses that a player is reaching around trying to get a particular one, he's out or we start over. It's never been a big deal and I'll played with these at least 40 times in the last few years.

The benefit of course is that they do not get damaged and bent up and work well for outdoors and camping, BBQs, stuff like that.

In recent years, Fullerton has been quite the Werewolf hot-spot; however, there have been venue issues in 2015, so I'm not up-to-date on the current state of the game there.

What do you think are the benefits of square over round tokens?

I got some custom poker chips from some online site, shindigs or something like that. One side is a generic werewolf image, and the other is a sticker that's got seer, wolf, sorc, etc. on it. They seem to work pretty well.

Yeah I play with many of the Fullerton crew, they are the crew that I play with at the Strategicon games.

I like square for some simple reasons, mostly production related though.

They are quicker to cut. Easier to stack and package. I hate leaving scrap wood, so there's no scrap (more green!) stuff like that. Also, because they are 1/4 inch I think the thickness helps the feel. Round at that thickness would feel weird but that's just me.

Dake,

Monday all will be revealed, but for now the full set comes with villagers, wolves, seer, witch, hunter, bodyguard and minion.

You can customize and add more and different roles to your set.

If we get up in the stretch goals, I'll probably just start adding more roles too.

It's not clear from the campaign page if shipping costs are included in the pledge price. Are they?
