It's doubtful, but I just bought the Stronghold edition today from my FLGS, and I'll try to check it out in the morning and report back.

I own the stronghold edition and it did not come with the cards. I thought he was asking if one bought a copy of the game from the stronghold website would they also get the promo cards.

$11 USD to Canada. Ouch.

Bit the bullet though.

Just throwing this out there - would it not be cheaper (for others) to put this as a "Group buy" for 2-4 copies of the promos, save a whack on shipping, and then ship it out when it gets to Canada (And STILL save a stack on shipping, at the cost of an extra week delivery)?

Edit: I thought you meant shipping alone was $11.

As always, no international shipping from Stronghold's website.

It would be great if they could get them to the BGG Store or offer international shipping themselves.

Got mine yesterday. Stronghold has amazing faith in Canada Post, it's a few cards in a plastic baggy in a #10 envelope. And they actually made it through unscathed. surprise

Cards are a perfect match for the Stronghold release, the backs are identical in colour to the main game. So refreshing.

Having played with the promo cards several times now (picked them up at Gencon) I can say they really add a nice variety to the game; lower cost to complete barrows, good immediate payout but no market stall, additional special abilities. A nice little addition.

Pretty sure they were just with held from the game since the numbers pick up where the base game cards left off

Nope.

It was like this, that we thought all the time, that 66 is the number of card for one "production unit". So we developed 66 cards. In fact (this we realised waaayyyy to late) the "66 = one production unit" was a mistake. And for the perfect balancing of all the 4 sides of the cards, the number of cards would be 72. So we made these 6 cards afterwards as promoes arrrh

No. The Stronghold cards are larger than the original Spielworxx cards. That being said, I have mine sleeved and have no issues playing with them.

Unfortunate. I don't like sleeving. Will just hope that maybe Spielworxx prints some.
