I don't know how long this has been free, but I only just noticed it.
I've never played the card game so I can't vouch for it. Atleast now I can try before I buy.

I'm a quitter. I come from a long line of quitters. It's amazing I'm here at all.

Thought that might be the case, but still a good way to try before you buy. Or whatever.

With an in-app purchase of 6.99. Can't expand on what that gets you, because you'd have to pay me 10 bucks to play this game ever again

If what you mean is it is a good way to try the iOS game, before buying the actual cardboard game, then I agree with you. Assuming the iOS game is a good representation. Some are not. I do not know about this one.

Insomuch as it is an accurate representation of the gameplay and rules, the app would be a good way to try it out. There are some presentation issues - it's got some bugs to work out, and I haven't played since the GUI update - but it is accurate to the card game.
